這部以$500,000拍攝的獨立製片，全美票房刷破三千萬，在福音電影排行榜上寫下記錄。
導演Alex Kendrick是喬治亞州Sherwood Baptist Church的牧師，因為一篇〈電影比教會更有影響力〉的調查報告踏進第八藝術工業。Fireproof跟Sherwood Pictures之前拍攝的Facing the Giants（永不放棄）和Flywheel（飛越生命）一樣，都是Kendrick跟弟弟Stephen Kendrick的劇本。

去年夏天我們的religion editor就提過這部電影，果不然之後就在公司的DVD grab挖到了。
雖然我沒有信仰也雖然電影裡凡事引用聖經讓我有點overwhelmed，但是它傳達的很多東西都是那麼地真實。


不管是在家庭朋友還是愛情裡，我們總是太容易放大自己的作為，卻看不到對方的付出。
我們習慣以自己為出發點去理解／解釋發生的一切，卻忽略了一段關係之所以為關係，是因為有對方的存在。
所謂的for better or for worse不是說過就算，但是如果已經回不去了呢？
每一次爭吵心就被劃上一刀，幾次拉扯之後，是不是得用盡所有力氣傷口才有可能癒合？
這個世界轉動得太快速，所以我們得放慢腳步去傾聽；這個社會變化得太劇烈，所以我們得專注凝視去感受。
