☆★3. Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida  迪士尼樂園,佛羅里達州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Located southwest of Orlando, Fla., Walt Disney World Resort is the most visited and largest recreational resort in the world, containing four theme parks, two water parks, 23 themed hotels and numerous shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation venues.

The Kentucky Derby is a Grade I stakes race for three year-old thoroughbred horses, held annually in Louisville, Kent., on the first Saturday of May.


☆★6. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming  黃石國家公園,俄懷明州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Yellowstone National Park, established by the U.S. Congressas a national park on March 1, 1872, was the first of its kind. The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser.

Pike Place Market, which opened Aug. 17, 1907, is one of the oldest continually operated public farmers' markets in the United States.

Rough Guide Notes
Monticello, located near Charlottesville, Va., was the estate of Thomas Jefferson, the principal author of the United States Declaration of Independence and the third president of the United States. The house is of Jefferson's own design.


☆★11. Pueblo de Taos, New Mexico  滔斯的佩伯羅印地安文化,新墨西哥州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Pueblo de Taos is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos (Northern Tiwa) speaking Native American tribe of Pueblo people. It is approximately 1,000 years old.


☆★12. Hiking in the Grand Cayon, Arizona   行走大峽谷,亞利桑納州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in Arizona. It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park — one of the first national parks in the United States.

New England is a region of the United States located in the northeastern corner of the country, consisting of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Fall in New England brings bright and colorful foliage, attracting tourism by "leaf peepers."

Yosemite Valley is the centerpiece of Yosemite National Park — also the point of entry into the park for the majority of visitors. The Valley holds both forest and large open meadows, which provide breathtaking views of the surrounding crests and waterfalls.

Rough Guide Notes
Cheyenne Frontier Days, held annually since 1897, in Cheyenne, Wy., claims to be the largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration in the world. The event, which occurs during 10 days centered around the last full week in July, draws an estimated 300,000 people to the area every year.


☆★19. Hawaii Volcanoes, Hawaii  活火山,夏威夷州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, established in 1916, displays the results of hundreds of thousands of years of volcanism, migration and evolution — processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture.

☆★20. Sternwheeler Rides, Mississippi River  懷舊遊輪,密西西比河★☆

Rough Guide Notes
The Mississippi River is the second longest river in the United States, running through 10 states and was used to define portions of these states' borders, including Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Rough Guide Notes
The effect of Auroras is known as the aurora borealis, named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas, by Pierre Gassendi in 1621. The Aurora Borealis also is called the northern polar lights, as it is only visible in the sky from the Northern Hemisphere. 


☆★22. Big Bend National Park, Texas  大彎國家公園,德州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Big Bend National Park has national significance as the largest protected area of Chihuahuan Desert topography and ecology in the United States. Few areas exceed the park's value for the protection and study of geologic and paleontologic resources.


☆★23. Mount Rushmore, South Dakota  羅斯摩爾山國家保護區,南達科塔州★☆

Mount Rushmore National Memorial, near Keystone, S.D., represents the first 150 years of the history of the United States with 60-foot sculptures of the heads of former U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on The Strip. The theming of hotels, casinos, and restaurants on the Strip has established the city as one of the most popular destinations for tourists

Skiing is the main attraction for tourists to the Rocky Mountains during winter time.

Baseball is popular in the United States on the professional, amateur and youth levels. Major League Baseball teams are divided into the National League (NL) and American League (AL). Every year, the champion of Major League Baseball is determined by playoffs culminating in the World Series.

The National Mall is an open-area national park in downtown Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. The term commonly includes the areas that are officially part of West Potomac Park and Constitution Gardens to the west, and often is taken to refer to the entire area between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol.

Graceland is the name of the 13.8-acre estate and large white-columned mansion, purchased by Elvis Presley in 1957. After purchasing the property, Presley carried out extensive modifications to suit his needs and tastes.


☆★34. Baltimore's Crabs, Maryland  巴爾第摩的大螃蟹,馬里蘭州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
Baltimore is often nicknamed Crab City, as it is known for Blue Crabs. They are served at almost all restaurants across the city.

Mount St Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Wash., known for its ash explosions and pyroclastic flows. The volcano's most famous catastrophic eruption on May 18, 1980, at 8:32 a.m. PDT was the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States.


☆★36. Sweet Auburn, Atlanta, Georgia  馬丁路德‧金故居,喬治亞州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
The Sweet Auburn Historic District is known for the boyhood town of Martin Luther King Jr. Like other black communities throughout the country, Sweet Auburn's success was intricately tied to the residential patterns forced on African Americans during the early 20th century.

☆★37. Saguaro cactus, Arizona  沙漠巨掌仙人掌,亞利桑納州★☆

Rough Guide Notes
The Saguaro is a large, tree-sized cactus species native to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California and an extremely small area of California. The saguaro blossom is the state flower of Arizona.

☆★38. Hitting the Open Road, Route 66  挑戰六十六號公路,芝加哥到洛杉磯★☆

Rough Guide Notes
U.S. Route 66 was a highway in the U.S. Highway System. The famous highway originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, before ending at Los Angeles, encompassing a total of 2,448 miles.
